This week on The Chrissy B Show the theme was ‘power’ dressing and outfits that channel power and confidence. Sleek silhouettes, tailored blazers, luxurious fabrics and bold colours are key to power dressing.
Host Chrissy B is wearing a 2 piece “Paris” suit in red tweed fabric that was inspired by the famous bouclé jacket first popularised in the 1950’s by Coco Chanel and paired with a matching knee length skirt. The two piece suit is cut straight with a slight A-line to provide comfort and movement without compromising style.
I went for a casual day look in black skinny jeans by Mother, ankle boots by Ash, and a button-up white shirt with collar detail by Vivienne Westwood. The outfit is immediately smartened and made chic by layering a tailored blazer overtop. I chose a black blazer by Danish brand Munthe that has a touch of sparkle in it for the holiday season. Maegan is wearing a casual look with military referencing. She is wearing special waxy army print jeans by Citizens of Humanity paired with Ash three buckle boots and a silk top by Pyrus.
Luxe fabrics are a must in power dressing and the square pocket detail keep with the military theme. Remember the most important thing when power dressing is to feel
confident and comfortable in what you are wearing and hold yourself in a manner that is confident and poised.
